MP Dunleavey | Editorial Director

After more than 15 years as an editor and writer, Cristina feels like she has found the mother lode at DailyWorth. Where else would she be able to combine her extensive experience as a business journalist and her passion for helping women empower themselves with a love of snarky and sassy writing? Before joining DailyWorth, Cristina worked as a writer and editor for a number of print publications - BusinessWeek, Mexico Business, Latin Trade, the Houston Chronicle, Redbook, Texas Business and Southwest Art, among others - and for various webzines and websites, such as Clip, Agilebrain, Frontera.com and Amazon.com. She even did a stint as a freelance game writer for Nintendo, which was a great conversation starter at cocktail parties.
When she's not brainstorming with the DailyWorth gurus, Cristina, who is married to a political scientist, keeps her weight down by chasing after two sons and a dog named Zuzu. Before becoming a career woman-mom-wife-chauffeur-chef-dogwalker, she managed to get a B.S. in French from Georgetown University and an M.A. in Creative Writing from New York University. On the rare evening off, she likes to hunt down a good Latin band (she's half Cuban, so she's especially hot on the mambo and rumba) and dance until the lights go on.
