    • In about two minutes, with minimal input from you (and only the last four of your Social Security number!), ReadyForZero links your credit cards, tallies your debt, and helps you to devise a payoff plan. Bam. It’s got a neat dashboard where you can check your progress and get some basic advice. And it’s free.

  • DebtGoal is equally fast, and little more thorough: you can include everything in your SmartPay™ plan, from cards to mortgages to student loans. Track your progress and get tailored tips as you march toward your DebtFreeDate (a great concept). The only problem: They charge $14.95 per month, after a one-week free trial.
  • If your problem is figuring out the best debt payoff strategy, try the Debt Coach on Bills.com. It’s a swift set-up, and free. Using a drag-and-drop menu, you set your debt priorities: Is it more important to pay less each month; get out of debt fast, etc.? Debt Coach then suggests solutions, ranging from different payments to debt settlement.
