Last-Minute Deals on Trips

Summer is waning, but there’s still time to plan a delicious last-minute trip, thanks to these travel deal sites.

  • Sniqueaway’s claim to fame is that they mine TripAdvisor reviews to offer you great deals at popular resorts, hotels, and spas.

You might quibble with the data, but you can’t argue with the deals: everything from the posh Palomar in downtown Philadelphia ($149 for a double queen room), to the stunning Pearson’s Pond Luxury Inn and Adventure Spa in Juneau, Alaska (rooms start at $159 per night).

  • Zozi offers amazing “experiential” deals on stuff to do while you’re on vacation. Choose activities in about 20 locations, like an overnight swordfish and tuna expedition on Cape Cod ($294) or a two hours snorkeling tour around Catalina Island ($39).
  • Jetsetter is part of Gilt group—read, luxury flash sales that will blow your espadrilles off. Imagine: a nine-day culinary tour of Morocco, including cooking classes, sightseeing, some transportation–all for the tasty price of about $3,000.

Bon voyage!

Smart tip from travel blogger Corrine McDermott at Have Baby Will Travel: Divide each person’s items between different bags. That way you’re not up a tree if one bag is lost.
