Jenny Powers

Helping women elevate their personal and professional network, one high heeled step at a time.

Running-With-Heels.com

Tired of traditional networking event full of business card exchanges and sales pitches, but void of meaningful connections and authentic conversations, Jenny Powers envisioned an antidote to the proverbial "Old Boy's Club." Setting out to create a "New Girl's Club" where empowered professional women could connect, collaborate, and celebrate each other's success, Running with Heels was born.

Running With Heels is New York’s invitation-only society for "on-the-go, in-the-know" female executives and entrepreneurs. A firm believer that your network is your net worth, Jenny hosts a variety of educational, entertaining and empowering live events ranging from her innovative round-robin dinner party series, facilitated power lunches, exclusive soft-skill trainings, group fitness workouts to intimate tours of some of the New York’s most celebrated venues. Do you live or work in the New York Metropolitan area or travel here for business? Get on the Running With Heels exclusive event invite list here.

Jenny is also the creator and "Chief Broad" of the popular new iTunes podcast Broadcast: Broads Building businesses, featuring interviews with women in business sharing their successes, failures and lessons that changed their lives. Subscribe to Jenny's podcast here.

A lifelong New Yorker and graduate of New York University, Jenny doesn’t believe in strangers, only people she hasn’t met yet. In addition to leading Running-With-Heels, Jenny is the Founder of the Women Leaders in Networking Round-table, a consortium of women that represent the majority of the female networking organizations in New York. She also regularly facilitates in-person networking evenings for female entrepreneurs.

Voted one of the Top 5 non-profit event planners in New York State by the International Special Events Society, Powers has over two decades of fundraising experience and has raised tens of millions of dollars for worthy causes. She met her husband at an event she produced and the rest is "Herstory". Married for 8 years, they are raising a sassy Kindergartener who plans to be the President of the United States when she grows up wherupon she intends to move the White House to Brooklyn.

When she's not reading business books, spinning and traveling, Jenny loves to help with fundraising efforts at her daughter's school and spends one night a month running the overnight shift at a men's homeless shelter to keep it real. Jenny dishes networking and lifestyle tips in her monthly ezine "That's What She Said" and has been featured in Crain's Business, Daily Worth, Fast Company, The Huffington Post, Women & Co, and Tedx. She encourages women to live their lives with purpose and on purpose.
