Karen McCall and Mikelann Valterra are the dynamic duo behind MoneyMinderOnline. With more than 40 combined years of experience in the field of money, financial behavior and related emotions, these women get straight to the heart of money matters.

Karen McCall is the original creator of the MoneyMinder System and co-founder of MoneyMinderOnline. She revolutionized the financial counseling industry almost 30 years ago with her highly acclaimed Financial Recovery process. Karen has decades of experience counseling people from all walks of life - people with millions of dollars, people with very little, and people whose means are somewhere in between. In 1996, after years of running a successful financial counseling practice, she founded the Financial Recovery Institute (www.financialrecovery.com). Now she spreads her passion for her work by training professionals from all over the world to build their own rewarding and successful practices and careers as Certified Financial Recovery Counselors and Money Coaches. Karen is internationally recognized as a consultant, trainer, and speaker on self-defeating money behaviors and what can be done about them. She is the author of several books, including FINANCIAL RECOVERY: Developing a Healthy Relationship with Money (New World Library). Karen lives in San Francisco, where she enjoys life with her husband. She loves to hike along the coast and spend time with her children and grandchildren.

Mikelann Valterra is the co-founder of MoneyMinderOnline, the web-based software designed to help people develop a healthy relationship to money and experience flexible, guilt-free spending. She is a money coach, speaker, and author (Why Women Earn Less: How to Make What You’re Really Worth, published by Career Press.) Mikelann addresses practical money matters, as well as the emotional components that often fuel financial behaviors. Her passion is to help professional women escape the “money fog”, feel more in control of their finances, and love their financial life. For 17 years she’s worked as a money coach with private individuals on their finances (see www.seattlemoneycoach.com.) She has appeared on dozens of radio and television shows and has been featured in newspapers across the United States. Mikelann is a nationally sought-after speaker on issues of women and money, and how women can unlock their earning power. A busy single parent in Seattle, she keeps up with her zany teenage son, follows her beloved Seattle Seahawks, and wonders why her house doesn’t look like the home decorating magazines she loves to read.
