Entrepreneurship, Women to Watch

Eveline Chao is a freelance writer based in New York City. She has written for Foreign Policy, the Daily Beast, and the BBC, among others. She previously lived in Beijing for 5 years, where she edited a business magazine, got used to dealing almost entirely in cash, and wrote a book about Chinese slang, called “NIUBI! - The Real Chinese You Were Never Taught in School.” Eveline thought that paper checks would disappear while she was abroad and was puzzled to discover upon moving back that she still needed a checkbook. Eveline holds a degree in English with a concentration in creative writing from Princeton University.
